BUPA Interested in DCA

UK healthcare group BUPA is thought to be considering an Au$1bn (US$850m) bid for Australian care home company DCA Amity.

DCA Amity's parent company, DCA, is currently owned by private equity house CVC Capital Partners.

A report in UK daily The Times claims that CVC has appointed Goldman Sachs to oversee a sale of the DCA Amity division.

The report adds that BUPA may face stiff competition from other private equity houses if it decides to bid for the business.
