Butler Capital Staffs Up

Lionel Mestre and Roland Tricot have been named directors with Butler Capital Partners, a French private equity firm focused on distressed and special situations. Mestre has spent the past decade with PAI Partners, while Tricot had been with General Electric.

Butler Capital Partners, France's pre-eminent private equity firm focusing on distress and special situations, has further strengthened its market leading team with the addition of two senior professionals with strong investing and operational experience.

 

Lionel Mestre, a graduate of Dauphine University, joins as a Director, after ten years with PAI, and three years previously with PriceWaterhouseCoopers.

 

Roland Tricot also joins as a Director with seven years with General Electric in Europe and the US where he had direct operational responsibilities in numerous special situations and turnarounds.

 

The directly relevant experience and expertise of these seasoned investment and operational professionals further strengthens Butler Capital at a time when the firm sees significant growth in opportunities in a period of uncertainty when companies will face increasing operational challenges and complexities.

 

The investment team now numbers 12 investment professionals, including four partners – the largest and most experienced specialist team in France.

 

Butler Capital Partners has a 15 year history of successful special situations investing and operational turnarounds. The most recent investment, which closed on March 2008, is the acquisition of Virgin France.
