Growth came in all three metrics used to inform the index: investment, fundraising and exit volume. Investment topped $102 billion during the fourth quarter, while sponsors returned more than $55 billion to investors. The index, which has a baseline of 100, is based on consolidated data from Thomson Reuters (the publisher of Buyouts) and PitchBook, and analysis by PEGCC.
