Chart of the week: Tech, energy and financials lead industry fundraising

While it’s too early to draw on this year’s results, high technology ($32.8 billion), energy and power ($15.9 billion) and financials ($9 billion) were 2017’s leading fundraising sectors. Industry-specific funds accounted for 30 percent of all fundraising last year. So far in 2018, these funds lagged that scale, combining for 14.3 percent of all fundraising.
