KKR Europe Steals Huth from Investcorp –

Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. has hired Johannes Huth as a managing director for its London office, and reportedly will hire five or six more professionals to manage the $3 billion European buyout fund it currently is raising.

Mr. Huth will leave his position on the management committee of Investcorp International, a buyout firm listed on the Bahrain stock exchange.

KKR already has tapped Edward Gilhuly, originally from KKR’s Menlo Park, Calif. office, to head up the London office. In addition, Todd Fischer, also from Menlo Park, and Neil Richardson, who previously worked for British-KKR affiliate Glenisla, will help invest the European fund from London. (BUYOUTS Jan 11, p. 1).
