The tally reflects TowerBrook Capital Partners LP’s successful completion of fundraising for its latest investment vehicle. The New York firm reached the $3.5 billion cap it set for TowerBrook Investors IV LP, surpassing the target by half a billion dollars.

DW Healthcare Partners, a Utah-based firm focused on the health care industry, also closed its latest investment vehicle, DW Healthcare Partners III LP, with $265 million in commitments. In addition, Summer Street Capital Partners LLC of Buffalo, N.Y., held the final close of Summer Street Capital III LP at about $280 million. The two funds were seeking $250 million each.

Thomson Reuters, the publisher of Buyouts, tracked 30 transactions involving U.S.-based financial sponsors from Feb. 6 to 19. Eight reported financial terms and had an aggregate disclosed value of $2.8 billion.

Year-to-date deal volume increased to roughly $11.3 billion. One of the recent deals is the purchase of THS Inc. by an investor group that includes Siris Capital Group LLC. The deal had a rank value of $830.2 million.
