Blue Wolf Capital Partners LLC appointed Victor Caruso as managing director. Caruso’s prior work background includes Houlihan Lokey and Merrill Lynch.

The Carlyle Group said José “Joe” E. Almeida has joined the firm as an operating executive in the Global Healthcare group, effective immediately. Almeida was the former chairman, president and CEO of Covidien, which was sold to Medtronic plc in January for $50 billion.

EnCap Flatrock Midstream said Gregory King has joined the firm as a senior advisor. King served as the president of Valero Energy Corp from 2003 to 2007.

Fifth Street Asset Management Inc has named David A. Heilbrunn as a managing director and member of the firm’s management committee. The appointment became effective May 11. Previously, Heilbrunn worked at The Carlyle Group as a managing director.

Private investment advisor Harvest Partners SCF LP has expanded its staff with three hires. The firm has named Steve Duke as a principal; Caldwell Zimmerman as an associate; and April Blackmon Meyer as a marketing associate. Previously, Duke worked at CCMP Capital Partners as a principal; Zimmerman was an associate at Arsenal Capital Partners, and Meyer most recently worked at JAT Capital Management.

Mainsail Partners has appointed Michael Anderson as an investment partner. In his new role, Anderson will focus on making investments in the healthcare, software and tech sectors. Previously, Anderson worked at Summit Partners as a principal.

Monroe Capital LLC said it hired Joe Rodgers as a managing director and Southeast Region Group Head in its Atlanta office. Prior to Monroe, Rodgers was a managing director and group head of Capital Advisory and Private Placements at KPMG Corporate Finance LLC.

NBK Capital Partners said Yaser Moustafa has joined the investment firm in Dubai as a senior managing director. He will be responsible for the management and day-to-day operations of NBK Capital Partners. He previously led Alvarez & Marsal’s Private Equity advisory practice for the Middle East as a managing director.

Strategic Value Partners LLC has named Ian Guthrie to its advisory council. Guthrie’s was previously an executive at Lloyds Banking Group and Halifax Bank of Scotland.

PORTFOLIO COMPANIES

360fly Inc has named Peter Adderton CEO. Adderton founded Boost Mobile in 2000 and most recently served as CEO of Mandalay Digital. 360fly, which is backed by Catterton, makes a single-lens camera that lets users capture the world in a 360-degree video format.

AssuredPartners Inc, which is backed by GTCR, has named D. Michael Sherman as vice chairman. In addition to his new role, Sherman will continue as chairman and CEO of Dawson Companies, a platform company of AssuredPartners. Based in Lake Mary, Fla., AssuredPartners is an insurance agency.

ATS Systems, which is owned by Grey Mountain Partners, has hired Allen Goad as CEO. Recently, Goad served as CEO of Affero Aerospace and Defense. Based in Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif., ATS is a provider of workholding and automation accessories.

ConvaTec said it has named Paul Moraviec chief executive officer. Moraviec was appointed interim CEO in December. CovaTec, a medical products and technologies company, is owned by Nordic Capital and Avista Capital Partners.

DTT said it has named Dan Pulskamp president and Mark Simson as CFO. Pulskamp was previously EVP of Global Sales at March Networks Corp, while Simson was CFO of World Wide Security Group. Los Angeles-based DTT, a portfolio company of BV Investment Partners, provides digital video surveillance solutions to the hospitality and specialty retail industries.

Enterworks, a portfolio company of Black Dragon Capital LLC, has named Rick Chavie as CEO. Previously, Chavie was senior vice president of global solution management at hybris and SAP’s customer engagement and commerce group. Based in Sterling, Va., Enterworks is a provider of software solutions that help customers to manage and communicate their brand and product information across various sales channels.

Eurodrip, which is owned by Paine & Partners, has named Peter Berweger as CEO. The appointment becomes effective August 1. Berweger succeeds Mihalis Panagis, whose resignation is effective immediately. Eurodrip is a global manufacturer and supplier of drip irrigation solutions.

Gates Corp, a portfolio company of the Blackstone Group, said it appointed Ivo Jurek its new CEO. Jurek assumes his responsibilities on May 18. He succeeds Jim Nicol, who remains on the board as vice chairman. Jurek most recently served as president of Eaton’s electrical business in Asia Pacific.

K2 Intelligence, an investigative consultancy backed by AIG, said Austin Berglas has joined K2 as a senior managing director and head of its U.S. Cyber Investigations and Incident Response practice. Berglas will be based in New York. He was previously Assistant Special Agent in Charge of the FBI’s Cyber Branch in New York.

Orchid Underwriters Insurance Agency LLC, a portfolio company of Gryphon Investors, has appointed Chuck Fillizola as chief information officer. Previously, Fillizola worked at Sompo Japan Nipponkoa America Insurance as vice president and chief information officer. Based in Vero Beach, Fla., Orchid is a specialty underwriter of property insurance focusing on coastal properties.

Financial information services company PeerIQ has hired Deepak Agnani as head of financial products. Previously, Agnani worked at Markit as head of U.S. indices. PeerIQ is backed by Uprising; John Mack, former chairman and CEO of Morgan Stanley; Vikram Pandit, former Citigroup CEO; Arthur Levitt, former SEC chairman; and Eric Schwartz, former co-CEO of Goldman Sachs Asset Management.

Sonneborn LLC said it has named Gregg Kam CFO. Kam previously served as CFO of International Specialty Products and The Newark Group. Parsippany, N.J.-based Sonneborn, which makes and supplies high quality white oils and specialty hydrocarbon, is a portfolio company of One Equity Partners.

SERVICE PROVIDERS

Global placement and advisory firm First Avenue Partners has hired Hiti Singh as a senior member of its project management team. Singh, who is based in the firm’s London office, previously worked at CDC Group as a portfolio director.

Chicago-based real estate investment and advisory firm HAS Capital LLC has named Scott MacFarlane as president of originations. Previously, MacFarlane worked at U.S. Bank as vice president of national sales for the company’s manufactured housing operations.

The Krystal Company said that Tom Murrill is joining the company as its new Chief People Officer. As CPO, Murrill will be responsible for human resources, leadership and support for Krystal’s more than 250 company restaurants and 6,000 employees. Murrill was previously the VP of Human Resources for Silver Airlines.

TeamViewer said it named Andreas Koenig its new CEO. Koenig takes over from Holger Felgner, who will continue to work closely with TeamViewer as a member of the Advisory Board. Previously, Koenig was a member of Swisscom’s management board.

PROMOTIONS

Hawthorne Global Aviation Services said it has named Bryon Burbage president in addition to his role as CFO. Moelis Capital Partners and Hawthorne Corp launched Hawthorne Global, which provides general aviation services.

Praesidian Capital, a provider of senior and subordinated debt for small and mid-sized companies, promoted Tom Duffy from vice president to principal.

Asset manager T. Rowe Price Group Inc said that global equity head William Stromberg will become its chief executive on Jan. 1, 2016. He will succeed James Kennedy, who plans to retire later in 2016.
