On the Move 8.6.18 — Yellow Wood names Roach Pacini a VP

PRIVATE EQUITY FIRMS

MidOcean Partners:  Eric Roth joined as a managing director. He was previously a managing director and head of the consumer-retail group at Lazard. David Kieselstein, currently an executive board member, was named chairman of that board. Steve Miller, previously chairman, will continue as a member. Matt Rubel joined MidOcean’s executive board as chairman of the consumer group.

Capital Dynamics appointed Elizabeth Philipp a managing director and head of North American business development. She previously was a managing director on the marketing team at Angelo, Gordon & Co.

Clayton, Dubilier & Rice named Bruno Deschamps an operating adviser to CD&R funds. Deschamps is chairman of Diversey and is former president and chief operating officer of Ecolab Inc.

Equality Asset Management formed an advisory board. Among those joining the board are Kim Goodwin of Avanico HoldingsBrent Henry of Mintz LevinJay McGonigle of FactSet and Luis Ubiñas of Electronic Arts.

Trive Capital, the Dallas PE firm, hired Kathryn Pothier as head of investor relations. She previously was vice president of business development at Silver Oak Services Partners.

BlueMountain Capital Management hired Ameya Agge and Matt Jameson as senior investing professionals. In these new roles, they will source, evaluate and execute healthcare-related private investments. Agge had worked at Apax Partners while Jameson was at Highland Capital Management.

Littlejohn & Co appointed Courtney Hagen chief talent officer. She previously was senior vice president of human resources for LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton North America.

Stonepeak Partners named DJ Gribbin a senior operating partner. Gribbin previously served in the White House as special assistant to the president for infrastructure policy.

PORTFOLIO COMPANIES

Cloudreach, a software-enabled cloud-services provider, named Aaron M. Painter CEO. He previously was vice president and general manager for Microsoft in China. Cloudreach is backed by Blackstone.

Milani Cosmetics, the Los Angeles cosmetics brand backed by Gryphon Investors, named Grace Ray CEO. She recently was CEO of Living Proof, a hair-care company.

EPIC Insurance Brokers & Consultants added Lou D’Agostino as a principal. Prior to joining EPIC, D’Agostino was president of insurance agency Iron Cove Partners. EPIC is backed by Oak Hill Capital Partners.

NavaDerm Partners, a Northeast regional dermatology platform and portfolio company of BelHealth Investments Partners, named Alejandro Fernandez CEO, Edward Conway chief financial officer and Kimberly Campbell executive vice president of business development and recruiting.

Back Yard Burgers, the Nashville burger franchiser backed by Axum Capital Partners, named Scott Shotter CEO. He previously was vice president of operations at Moe’s Southwest Grill.

SERVICE PROVIDERS

Rothschild Global Advisory named Mike Ostow, Jonathan Herbst and Raj Dayalan as managing directors for its North American business. Ostow, based in New York, has been named head of financial institutions, North America. Herbst, in Chicago, will head the North American media and telecom team. Dayalan joins the firm in Los Angeles.

Perella Weinberg Partners named Chris Blake a partner in its advisory business. Blake joins after 19 years at Citigroup, where he most recently was a managing director and co-head of the global automotive franchise.

Edgemont Capital Partners named Kojo Appenteng to build and lead its healthcare information-technology investment-banking franchise. He previously led the HCIT investment banking franchise at Credit Suisse.

Perkins Coie named Adrian Rich a partner in the law firm’s emerging companies and venture capital practice. He previously was a partner at Dorsey & Whitney.

Wilshire Associates, an investment consulting, management and services firm, added Suehyun Kim and Rebekah Chow to its team. Kim joined as vice president of Wilshire Associates and portfolio manager at Wilshire Funds while Chow is a senior associate and a member of the manager research group at Wilshire Associates.

Gen II Fund Services, a private equity fund administrator, named Edward Poletti a senior adviser. Poletti had been at Credit Suisse.

PROMOTIONS

Yellow Wood Partners promoted Jennifer Roach Pacini to vice president. Roach Pacini joined the firm in 2014 as an associate and became senior associate in 2016. Earlier, she was a senior analyst at Analysis Group and worked at JP Morgan’s commercial banking division.

Accordion, a PE-focused financial consulting firm, promoted Jason Madden to senior director and Bolaji Lawal to director. Both are based in the New York office.

Campbell Lutyens promoted six new principals in its London, New York and Hong Kong offices. Among those receiving promotions are Annabelle Judd in London, Ryan Mason in New York and James Shipperlee in Hong Kong.

Trinity Hunt Partners promoted Mike Steindorf and Blake Apel to partner. Steindorf joined the Dallas private equity firm in 2005 while Apel came on board in 2007.
