On the Move, June 24, 2019: NEA promotes Lily Huang; GTCR hires Melissa Mounce

PRIVATE EQUITY FIRMS

Access Holdings named Steve Chang as a partner and Andy Colmone as a principal. Chang was previously managing director at LLR Partners while Colmone was CFO at SCP Dental Services.

Jeff Jacobson joined Siris as an executive partner. Prior to Siris, Jacobson served as CEO of Xerox.

Devin Perotti joined Align Capital Partners as an operating partner in the Dallas office. Perotti was previously CEO of eRecruit.

YFM Equity Partners named Helen Villiers as investment manager. Previously, Villers worked on Grant Thornton’s corporate finance team.

Shadow Ventures named Matt Ohlman as chief technology officer. Ohlman is the former managing partner of FiveBox.

Playfair Capital, a U.K.-based venture firm, named Simon Blakey as a non-executive and member of its investment committee. Blakey is a managing director at Avonmore Developments Ltd.

Oak HC/FT named Jenn Adams executive-in-residence. Adams previously worked at AmerisourceBergen where she was senior vice president and president of clinical product solutions.

NEA promoted to principal Lily Huang. Prior to joining NEA, Huang was a member of TPG Capital’s North American Buyouts Group.

Monroe Capital LLC added seven investment professionals to its direct originations team: David Fischer and Nick McDearis in Atlanta; Dan Letizia and Tommy Ryan in Chicago; Jack Bernstein in New York; Stewart Hanlon in San Francisco; and Alex Patil in Los Angeles.

GTCR hired Melissa Mounce as managing director – leadership talent. Mounce comes from Baird Capital, where she was principal of human capital.

Harris Street named Dave Liu as vice president of asset management. Liu was previously vice president of asset management at Ventas Inc.

L Catterton Europe named Luigi Feola as managing partner, effective Sept. 1. He was senior managing director of Europe and joint head of consumer at Temasek.

Sole Source Capital appointed Ruth Dreessen an operating partner. She is a former managing director at Lion Chemical Partners.

Cresset added Patrick MahoneyDick Hall and Jason Heckler as partners and managing directors and Tassy Hannemann as a vice president and client relationship specialist.

Liberty Hall Capital Partners promoted Taylor P. Catarozoli and Jack F. Nadal to partner.

Palladium Equity Partners promoted Chris Allen and Leon Brujis to managing director.

Jonathan BorellShawn AbramsDan Lory and Blake Shapskinsky joined SK Capital Partners. Borell, whom SK named a managing director, is a former managing director at Sun Capital Partners. The new team will focus on lower-middle-market businesses.

LFM Capital named Ken Hoefling an operating partner. He recently was VP of building construction products at Caterpillar.

Clayton, Dubilier & Rice named Nate Sleeper CEO and David Novak and Rick Schnall co-presidents, effective Jan. 1, 2020. CD&R’s current CEO, Donald Gogel, will continue as chairman.

Archytas Ventures, the cannabis-focused PE and venture firm, appointed Justin Vuong VP investments. He had been an investment banking associate at Roth Capital Partners.

TPG Growth named Heather Smith Thorne as a partner. Thorne was previously a managing director and partner at Swander Pace Capital.

Managing Director Vincenzo Narciso left The Carlyle Group, the Wall Street Journal reported. Narciso was one of three MDs focused on investor relations and fundraising in Europe, according to the report.

SFW Capital Partners named Terry Kelly an operating partner. Kelly is former president of TA Instruments.

Arbor Investments hired Christopher Tuffin as a partner in the New York office. Tuffin previously was a director in the New York office of the consumer and retail investment banking group at Bank of America Merrill Lynch.

PORTFOLIO COMPANIES

High Street Insurance Partners, a provider of commercial insurance, personal lines and employee benefits services, named Dave Tuit as senior partner and CFO. Tuit is the former CFO and treasurer for Acrisure. High Street is backed by Huron Capital.

Bishop Fox, backed by ForgePoint Capital, named Kevin Brooks as vice president of finance. Brooks previously worked at Trace3 where he was vice president and corporate controller.

Apptio Inc, a portfolio company of Vista Equity Partners, named Scott Chancellor chief product officer and Todd Joseph chief customer officer. Chancellor joins from Amazon Web Services and Joseph joins from Marketo. Apptio, based in Bellevue, Washington, is a provider of business management software.

Artivest, a digital platform for alternative investing, named James Hale Head of Platform, a newly created position for the company. Hale joins from Raymond James Financial. Artivest’s backers include Aquiline Capital Partners, Genstar Capital, KKR and Thiel Capital.

SightMD, a portfolio company of Chicago Pacific Founders, appointed Jonathan C. Lujan CEO. SightMD is a multispecialty ophthalmology platform.

Small World FS named Chris Kawula a managing director. Kawula was previously chief sales and marketing officer for Sigue Corp. Small World, a payment service provider, is backed by Equistone Partners EuropePitchBook reports. Kevin Neuschatz, Small World’s current managing director, becomes a non-executive director.

Gemini Bio-Products, backed by BelHealth Investment Partners, named Donald O’Neil chief commercial officer and Brendan Lucey VP business development. O’Neil recently was SVP of sales and strategic partnerships at ORFLO Technologies while Lucey was previously an executive at ILC Dover, Sartorius Stedim and Lonza.

Material Handling Systems (MHS), backed by Thomas H. Lee Partners, named Markus Augeneder CEO of international. Augeneder is former CEO for Central Europe of TGW Logistics Group. MHS, based in Louisville, Kentucky, provides parcel sortation systems, engineering and equipment.

KPA, a provider of environmental health and safety risk management solutions, named Chris Fanning president and CEO. Fanning previously held those titles at Survey Sampling International. KPA is backed by Providence Equity Partners.

American Construction Source, a national building materials platform for custom-home builders and repair and remodel contractors, named Tom Tolleson chief operating officer. He had been Midwest division president of ACS portfolio company Meek’s Lumber Co. ACS is backed by Angeles Equity and Clearlake Capital.

Evolution Research Group, a clinical research business serving pharma companies and CROs, appointed Davide Molho president and CEO. He previously was president and COO at Charles River Laboratories. ERG is backed by Linden Capital Partners.

Pelican Products, a maker of protective cases, temperature-controlled packaging solutions and other products, named George Platisa chief financial officer. Platisa’s background includes stints at Belkin, Price Waterhouse and Walt Disney. Pelican is a portfolio company of Behrman Capital.

SchoolMint, a provider of enrollment management and positive behavior solutions for K-12, named Bryan MacDonald CEO. He previously was chief product and technology officer at Illuminate Education. SchoolMint is backed by BV Investment Partners.

SERVICE PROVIDERS

Monarch Private Capital named Marco Cordova director of film finance and West Coast tax credit investments. Cordova comes from Entertainment Partners.

Evercore ISI named Larry Sibley a senior managing director and head of sales. He joins from Credit Suisse.

Raymond James appointed Andrew Gitkin managing director and co-head of the healthcare investment banking practice. He previously led the West Coast biotech investment banking practice at Piper Jaffray.

Financial Technology Partners named Mohit Agnihotri a managing director based in London. Agnihotri most recently was global head of payments and senior fintech banker at JP Morgan.

Jefferies appointed Christopher Wood global head of equity strategy. Wood is a former financial journalist.
