C3DNA raises seed round

Stealth tech startup C3DNA has raised a $2 million seed round. The financing was led by Kumar Malavalli, co-founder and former CTO of Brocade Communications. The round also included C3DNA CEO and serial entrepreneur Paul Camacho, among other unnamed parties.


C3DNA, Inc., a stealth startup launching shortly with cognition-infused enterprise meta-container technologies for hybrid clouds, today announced it has successfully raised a $2M Seed round that financed the company’s final technology developments. Both legacy and new apps can now be easily “cloudified” using Docker™, OpenStack™ or “bare metal” and can be deployed securely and compliantly across hybrid clouds with application awareness, dynamic life-cycle management and real-time automation.

The Seed round was led by Kumar Malavalli of VKRM (Los Altos, CA) – Mr. Malavalli is the Co-founder and former CTO of Brocade™ Communications and has been inducted into the Silicon Valley Engineering Council Hall of Fame for his contributions to storage technology. The Seed round also included C3DNA CEO and serial entrepreneur Paul Camacho, among other unnamed parties.

C3DNA’s groundbreaking technology will be publicly introduced in the next few weeks and was developed over a five-year period by renowned technologist Dr. Rao Mikkilineni and an R&D team led by Dr. Giovanni Morana and Dr. Daniele Zito. Dr. Mikkilineni has more than 30 years of experience at AT&T® Bell® Labs, HDS as well as several startups and also co-chairs an IEEE international conference track: “Convergence of Distributed Clouds, Grids and their Management”.
