PRESS RELEASE

MADRID, SPAIN – September 2, 2013
Madrid, Spain – CoBe Capital, a global private investment firm focused on the acquisition and management of non-core business units from large corporations, is pleased to announce the hiring of Jose Cabrera-Kabana. Mr. Cabrera-Kabana joins CoBe Capital as Managing Director, Europe, and leads CoBe Capital’s M&A activities in Spain and Portugal.  He has over 24 years of professional experience in principal investing, corporate M&A advisory, structured finance and strategy consulting.
Previously, Mr. Cabrera-Kabana was a Managing Director with goetzpartners Corporate Finance, a pan-European M&A advisory and management consulting firm, where he completed numerous transactions in Iberia.  Before joining goetzpartners, he learned the investment banking ropes at Lazard in London, focusing on executing cross-border mergers and acquisitions.  Earlier in his career, he was an investor at Schroder Ventures and prior to that worked as a consultant in McKinsey & Company’s Madrid Office.
Mr. Cabrera-Kabana received his MBA from Harvard Business School and holds a BSc in Economics from MIT.
“We are pleased Jose has joined CoBe Capital,” said Neal Cohen, Founder and Managing Director of the firm.  “Having Jose expand our local presence in Spain and Portugal is perfectly timed given the economic environment and our expectation that many corporations there will seek the benefits associated with divesting their non-core assets and business units.  Jose brings years of transaction experience and is the perfect strategic partner for Iberian corporations seeking smooth and efficient divestitures.”
