Canadian mid-market private equity firm Champlain Financial Corp. has taken an undisclosed stake in Landry Investment Management. The Montréal-based company, an investment fund manager of Landry family of funds and a provider of portfolio management services, also saw Benoit Brillon, Landry’s chief investment officer, become a shareholder. Kit Dalaroy, who is affiliated with Champlain, is the company’s CFO.
Landry Investment Management announces the arrival of two new major shareholders in the company
MONTREAL, May 2, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ – Mr. Jean-Luc Landry, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Landry Investment Management is pleased to announce that Champlain Asset Management, a holding entity controlled by Champlain Financial Corporation, and Mr. Benoit Brillon, Chief Investment Officer of Landry, are becoming shareholders of the company.
According to Mr. Pierre Simard, Founder and President of Champlain Financial Corporation, Landry has an exceptional operational expertise with an excellent performance track record.

In the new structure, Mr. Landry will remain Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Benoit Brillon will remain Chief Investment Officer and Mr. Kit Dalaroy, a partner of Champlain Asset Management, will remain Chief Financial Officer.

Champlain Asset Management is controlled by Champlain Financial Corporation, a private equity firm based in Montreal which has built an investment portfolio of companies across Canada. The company is dedicated to act as financial partner to provide equity capital to small and medium sized firms.
Landry Investment Management
Landry Investment Management is the manager of the Landry family of funds (formally the Landry Morin funds). The firm also offers discretionary portfolio management services to individuals and institutional investors.
