OMERS Considers Sale of USIC – Reuters

OMERS Private Equity, the private equity investment arm of the Ontario Municipal Employees Retirement System, is considering the sale of  United States Infrastructure Corp. (USIC) in a deal that could value the company at around US$800 million, reports Reuters. Three people “familiar with the matter” said that OMERS has hired Barclays Plc and Harris Williams & Co to explore the possibility of selling the Indianapolis, Indiana-based infrastructure services company, which maintains the underground cables of telecommunications, power and water utilities. OMERS acquired USIC from U.S.-based buyout firm Kohlberg & Company in 2011.
