Real Ventures adds another high energy EIR to its ranks
September 12, 2016
As part of our ongoing efforts to better support our portfolio companies and deepen our engagement with the startup ecosystem, we’re pleased to announce that Isaac Souweine has joined Real Ventures as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence (EiR), based in Montréal.
Since arriving in Montréal in 2013, Isaac has had a major impact on the startup community. First and foremost has been his work leading product at two of city’s fast-growing startups: Frank & Oak and Flatbook. Isaac has also been a committed member of the community — mentoring at FounderFuel and Founder’s Institute, organizing events like Product Tank MTL, and advising countless young entrepreneurs.
Before moving to Canada, Isaac spent 6 years in Singapore, where he lead product marketing for Yahoo Southeast Asia, helped Pollenizer expand its incubation model into the region, and earned an MBA from INSEAD. Isaac began his career in New York, developing educational technology and games at Scholastic and leading sales for a dot-com startup.
The EIR role at Real is a transitional position, but we expect our EIR’s to have real impact, as measured against the service level we strive to provide to entrepreneurs and the startup ecosystem. Isaac is passionate about building great companies, supporting the next generation of entrepreneurs and making Canada a world-class startup ecosystem. We look forward to working with him toward all these ends, and hope you’ll join us in welcoming him into this new role.
