Canadian private equity firm Lynx Equity has acquired Day 2 Interiors Ltd, a London-based office furniture dealer and commercial furniture scheme consultant. No financial terms were released. Founded in 2001 by Managing Director Jim Meier, Day 2 manages every stage of the interior furnishing process for a wide range of organizations. Meier will remain with the company for at least five years following the change in ownership. Day 2 is Lynx’s third acquisition in the United Kingdom. The investor’s first two British deals, closed last year, were Label Express Ltd and Signalhome Ltd.

Since 2001, Day 2 has expertly managed every stage of the interior furnishing process, from planning and specification through to the supply and installation of furniture, as well as providing training in the correct use of specialist equipment and other avenues of after sales support. The Company’s management team boasts highly skilled and experienced designers, contributing to Day 2 having been awarded ‘Furniture Supplier of the Year’ by Mix Magazine’s Mixology Awards, three years running. Day 2’s reputation has resulted in strong working relationships with dozens of high-profile clients from the Fortune 500 and FTSE100.

The transaction was facilitated by Benchmark International, with buy-side legal and accounting due diligence from Shoosmiths and Mazars, respectively.
