Access, a U.S. records and information management services provider, has acquired six Canadian records management companies operating together as Innovative Records Systems Corp. No financial terms were disclosed. The companies are BCRM Services LtdCalgary Archives CorpCrown Enterprises LtdPhoenix Recycling IncFileBank Record Centre Ltd and Docu Guard Ltd. Access said the deal expands its North American operations with locations in nine Canadian cities servicing more than 20 domestic markets. Woburn, Massachusetts-based Access is backed by Berkshire Partners and GI Partners.

Records and Information Management (RIM) Leader Adds Coast-to-Coast Coverage in Canada Dramatically Expanding Operations in North America

BOSTON, May 17, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Access, the largest privately-held records and information management (RIM) services provider in the United States, today announced a major expansion into Canada, with the acquisition of six Canadian records management companies. With these acquisitions, Access expands its operations in North America with locations in Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary, Ottawa, Winnipeg, Saskatoon, Regina, St. John’s and Saint John, servicing more than 20 key markets across 10 Canadian provinces.

Access Information Management of Canada, ULC has acquired these records management businesses: BCRM Services Ltd. (Vancouver); Calgary Archives Corp. (Calgary); Crown Store-All Facilities, SecureShred and Crown Filing Systems which were all divisions of Crown Enterprises Ltd. (Regina and Saskatoon); Phoenix Recycling Inc. (Winnipeg); FileBank Record Centre Ltd. (Toronto and Ottawa); and Docu Guard Ltd. (Atlantic Canada). For the past couple of years, these businesses have been operating together as Innovative Records Systems Corporation.
