FLS Transportation Services Ltd has acquired Scott Logistics Corp, a Rome, Georgia-based freight broker providing personalized transportation solutions across the United States.
No financial terms were disclosed.
FLS, a Montréal-based cross-border third-party logistics provider, said the deal will expand its scale and density in the fragmented truckload brokerage space.
It will also increase the company’s U.S. operational presence, adding eight branches and five agent locations.
Established in 1987, FLS was recapitalized in 2016 by Abry Partners, a U.S. private equity firm.

February 14, 2019 (Montreal, QC) – Leading cross-border third-party logistics provider (3PL), FLS Transportation Services Limited (‘’FLS’’) announced today that it has acquired Georgia based Scott Logistics Corp. (“Scott”). This acquisition is set to expand the company’s scale and density in a highly fragmented TL brokerage space further asserting its position as a top 15 3PL in North America.
Founded in 1993 and headquartered in Rome, Georgia, Scott leverages its 21 years of experience and its extensive carrier network to provide personalized transportation solutions to the 48 contiguous United States.

Currently, FLS services its clients through ten branches across United States and Canada. Scott’s acquisition, which is a key part of the company’s growth strategy, will add eight branches and five agent locations to its portfolio further strengthening its operational presence in the U.S.
