Carlyle Files to Raise $100M

Buyout giant the Carlyle Group has filed with U.S. regulators to raise up to $100 million in an initial public offering. J.P. Morgan, Citigroup and Credit Suisse are listed as underwriters on the offering. The filing did not say how much stock the firm plans to sell, or an expected price for the shares.

(Reuters) – Carlyle Group LP filed with U.S. regulators on Tuesday to raise up to $100 million in an initial public offering of common units.

The Washington-based company told the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission in a preliminary prospectus that J.P. Morgan, Citigroup and Credit Suisse are underwriting the IPO.

The filing did not reveal how many units the company planned to sell or their expected price.
