The Carlyle Group Inc is planning on acquiring a 25 percent stake in Bharti Airtel’s data center business, reported the Wall Street Journal. The transaction puts the business at a $1.2 billion valuation. The news outlet noted that Carlyle will invest $235 million in the Indian telecommunications company Nxtra Data Ltd, a unit of Bharti Airtel.
