Greenwich, Conn.-based private equity firm Catterton Partners has acquired Noodles & Co., an operator of about 250 casual restaurants. Financial terms of the deal were not released. Catterton Partners has over $2.5 billion of equity capital under management. Noodles & Co. was formed in 2005.
Noodles & Company, a Broomfield-based operator of fast-casual restaurants, has been acquired by an investment group that’s led by Catterton Partners, a private equity firm that has invested in the likes of Baja Fesh Mexican Grill, P.F. Chang’s China Bistro and Odwalla.
Financial terms of the purchase were not disclosed.
It is unclear how the acquisition could affect Noodles & Company’s locally based operations and its 250 restaurants. Officials are expected to provide more information Tuesday afternoon.
Kevin Reddy is expected to continue in his role as chief executive officer, president and chairman, officials said in a statement.
Noodles & Company was founded in Boulder in 1995 and moved its headquarters to Broomfield in 2006.
