Centana Growth closes first deal from debut fund

Centana Growth Partners, the firm founded by ex-FTV Capital executives, has completed its first deal.

Blueprint Software Systems Inc on November 17 announced it secured $23 million in a round led by Centana. Toronto, Ontario-based Blueprint provides application lifecycle management software for customers in sectors including financial services and healthcare.

The deal is the first investment for Centana, which was founded by Ben Cukier and Eric Byunn earlier this year. Cukier and Byunn left FTV Capital to launch Centana.

Centana, a growth equity firm, is currently fundraising for its debut fund, which is targeting $200 million, according to three sources and an SEC filing. Lazard is the placement agent for Centana Growth Partners LP, the sources and filing said. It is not clear how much the fund has raised so far.

With offices in New York and Menlo Park, California, Centana invests in growth companies in financial services, financial technology and enterprise solutions, the firm’s website said.

Blueprint could not be reached for comment.
