Century Bridge Capital Adds Michael Yan

Century Bridge Capital added Michael Yan as director, asset management. He was formerly senior manager, assurance at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Beijing. Century Bridge, which recently closed its Century Bridge China Real Estate Fund, L.P. with $170 million in capital.

Century Bridge Capital announced today that Michael Yan has joined the firm as Director – Asset Management. He was formerly Senior Manager – Assurance at PricewaterhouseCoopers (“PwC”) in Beijing.

Based in Beijing Mr. Yan will provide strategic guidance with regard to asset management and growth strategies for Century Bridge, which recently announced the closing of its Century Bridge China Real Estate Fund, L.P. The fund has over $170 million of total committed capital, which they are deploying as equity investments in build-to-sell, middle-income, residential real estate projects in China’s growing Tier II cities.

Century Bridge Chairman and CEO Tom Delatour noted, “Michael Yan is a seasoned financial and compliance executive with in depth experience and background in financial, compliance and risk management who will be a valuable resource for our project management team as we continue to grow our portfolio. Having established our operations in China more than five years ago with a focus on middle-class housing in Tier II cities, we have in place a seasoned team of Chinese real estate professionals who are essential to the thoughtful selection of development partners and the thorough underwriting of prospective investments, as well as the hands-on management of these developments with our Chinese JV development partners. With the closing of our fund the addition of Michael’s skill set to this team is particularly timely and will be a significant asset for us going forward.”

Mr. Yan brings ten years of real estate industry focused experience to
Century Bridge. Having most recently served as Senior Manager – Assurance at PwC in Beijing, he held positions of increasing responsibility at PwC Hong Kong and PwC Guangzhou from 2004-2006, as well as serving as Senior – Assurance at Deloitte in Hong Kong from 2002-2004.

He holds a Bachelor Management Studies with Honor from the University of Waikato in New Zealand.
