European private equity and venture capital funds generated strong returns on average over five time periods for members of the Institutional Limited Partners Association, including the highest IRR on the board, with 26.38 at the one-year mark.
Asia/Pacific PE & VC represent the biggest upside for long-term growth, standing above the rest in the 10-year window with a 12.01 IRR percentage.
The benchmarks were created by Cambridge Associates for ILPA and are current through Q3 2017. The numbers reflect pooled net IRRs based on data from some 3,804 unique funds. All funds have at least one ILPA member as an LP. The returns are weighted by the size of cumulative commitments to the funds.
