PRESS RELEASE

Munich/Luxembourg – 11 January 2016 – Cipio Partners, a leading European direct secondary investment firm, and co-investors announce the sale of its portfolio company, Cint AB, to Nordic Capital. The sale marks the 19th exit of a Cipio portfolio company from Cipio Partners Fund VI.
Cint AB, headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden, is a leading developer of software that innovates the way customer insight is gathered. The company reaches over 19 million people in over 65 countries, all sourced via 1,500 different marketing panels owned by publishers, local media outlets, market research agencies and non-profits.
Through selling Cint, Cipio Partners has clocked its 19th exit from its current fund Cipio Partners Fund VI. Previously the fund has sold investments such as buyVIP to Amazon (NASDAQ: AMZN), Continuous Computing to Radisys (NASDAQ: RSYS), Picochip to Mindspeed (NASDAQ: MSPD) and Ipanema Technologies to Infovista S.A. (privately held by Thoma Bravo). Portfolio companies u-blox (SWX: UBXN) and lastminute (SIX: BRG) are now publicly listed.
“The Cint exit is a good illustration of how Cipio Partners has capitalized on the current strength of the technology asset class,” said Roland Dennert, Managing Partner of Cipio Partners. “We have built a portfolio of attractive growth stage technology assets over the past few years and are now capitalizing on strong technology equity markets for premium exits such as Cint. We expect to see more such exits to both strategic as well as financial buyers in 2016.”
Cipio Partners research shows that the current strength of the technology industry has once again attracted numerous new, opportunistic investors such as corporate investors, mutual funds and generalist private equity firms. Today, these players are investing aggressively in the asset class. Periodically, many such players exit the industry again after any correction of the markets, such as after the dot-com boom or in the 2008 financial crisis, creating attractive buying opportunities for counter-cyclical investors such as Cipio Partners.
