Joseph L. Rotman, founder of Canadian private equity firm Clairvest Group and a member of its board of directors, has passed away. Rotman founded the Toronto-based based firm in 1987. Update: According to the Rotman School of Management, which was named after him, Rotman was appointed as an Officer of the Order of Canada in 1995. He was also inducted into the Canadian Business Hall of Fame as a Companion in 2009.
