CHICAGO, Oct. 24, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — Inventus Solutions, Inc. today announced that it has acquired the California and Washington offices of TERIS, a leading electronic data discovery (EDD) solutions provider to global law firms, Fortune 1000 corporations and government agencies. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
The Teris acquisition will make Inventus one of the largest providers of end-to-end EDD services and solutions in the nation with a coast-to-coast geographic footprint. Both Inventus and Teris are leading technology providers with exceptional reputations for providing outstanding customer service. Inventus will remain headquartered in Chicago and Trevor Campion will continue to lead the combined company as its chief executive officer.
“We have been keen to add a West Coast presence in order to establish a truly national footprint, and Teris is an ideal partner for that expansion,” said Campion. “Our firms share both a common culture around client focus and great technology synergies, which will enable the combined business to enhance our customer experience across the board. The combined business immediately creates one of the largest EDD platforms in the country and we are thrilled about the outcome.”
“We are excited to become a part of Inventus at this important time in the company’s growth trajectory,” said Stefan Wikstrom, CEO of Teris. “Inventus is a clear market leader with an excellent platform to lead consolidation in the industry. We look forward to becoming a part of the Inventus team and bringing even more value to our client base with the Inventus technology platform.”
Earlier this year, Inventus was acquired by Santa Monica, Calif. based private equity firm Clearlake Capital Group, L.P., together with its affiliates. Inventus was backed by Clearlake, in partnership with management, to build a leading EDD solutions provider to global law firms, Fortune 1000 corporations, and government agencies.
“Teris offers a synergistic complement to Inventus’ current solution and customer base,” added Prashant Mehrotra, vice president of Clearlake. “This transaction demonstrates our commitment to support Inventus’ growth as a leading consolidation platform in the EDD solutions market.”
The West Coast offices of Teris will operate as Teris, LLC, a subsidiary to Inventus Solutions, Inc.
