Comvest hires new VP

Comvest Capital, the direct lending group of Comvest Partners, has named Colleen Gurda as a vice president. Previously, Gurda worked at BNY Mellon subsidiary Alcentra Capital Corp.

West Palm Beach, FL, November 9th, 2015 – Comvest Partners (“Comvest”) announced that Colleen Gurda has joined the Firm as a Vice President in Comvest’s direct lending group, Comvest Capital. In this role, Ms. Gurda will be responsible for assisting with business development, sourcing and assessing investment opportunities, and underwriting.

Prior to joining Comvest, Colleen spent five years at Alcentra Capital Corporation, a subsidiary of BNY Mellon and a provider of subordinated debt and equity capital to middle market companies. Ms. Gurda was responsible for origination, transaction execution, due diligence, and the monitoring of portfolio companies.

Prior to Alcentra, Ms. Gurda was with the Healthcare Investment Banking group at Barclays Capital. While at Barclays Capital, Ms. Gurda worked on various leveraged finance, M&A, and capital markets financing assignments.

Ms. Gurda received her B.A. in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania and her M.B.A. from Columbia Business School.
