Cortview Adds Backing from Warburg Pincus

Cortview Capital Securities, a middle-market broker dealer, has sealed an undisclosed amount of growth capital from Warburg Pincus. The money will be used to support the sales and trading needs of Corview’s clients, the company said. Cortview was launched in September 2010, and is based in Richmond, Virginia.

Cortview Capital Securities LLC (Cortview), a middle-market focused broker-dealer offering fixed income sales, trading and origination, investment banking and corporate finance services, today announced that its capital partner, leading global private equity firm Warburg Pincus, has made a further substantial capital contribution to support Cortview’s growth.

The capital will be used principally to support the sales and trading needs of Cortview’s clients and will be deployed in Cortview’s three strategic business lines – its credit sales and trading operation, its rates and mortgage sales and trading operation, and its investment banking and corporate finance business. A portion will also be used to support the continued expansion of Cortview’s business and infrastructure.
