Crestbridge appoints Sharples as senior compliance officer

Crestbridge has named Ellie Sharples as director, senior compliance officer. Prior to joining Crestbridge, Sharples worked at JFSC where she was a senior manager.


Following the continued growth of the business, Crestbridge is pleased to announce the appointment of Ellie Sharples as Director, Senior Compliance Officer, as it continues to expand its Group risk function.

Based in Jersey, Ellie will be responsible for ensuring the monitoring of operational performance and for the management of all regulatory and compliance matters, ensuring the business’s ongoing adherence to both its own internal policies and procedures and to local regulatory obligations. Ellie also manages Crestbridge’s regulatory relationship with the local regulator, the Jersey Financial Services Commission (JFSC).

With over 30 years’ experience in the financial services industry Ellie has specialist expertise in risk and corporate governance as well as proven leadership skills.

Prior to joining Crestbridge, Ellie spent four years as a senior manager at the JFSC leading a team of Regulatory Supervisors responsible for assessing Jersey banks compliance with financial services regulations, local and international laws. Ellie was also a member of the Jersey Government working group responsible for its National Risk Assessment for Money laundering, leading the banking sector team which produced the initial AML risk assessment report for the sector. Prior to that, Ellie headed up the International Personal Banking division of an international bank and was also an Executive Director within their Channel Islands office, holding both governance and client facing roles.
