ICAP Plc, an interdealer broker, has hired Bradley Critchell to lead its secondary markets group, which allows LPs to unload their stakes in PE funds. He comes from Cogent Partners, where he did similar work, and also worked for Credit Suisse and Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette.
New York, 20 January 2011 – ICAP Plc (IAP.L), the world’s premier interdealer broker, has hired Bradley Critchell to lead its Secondary Markets Group, which helps private equity limited partners sell their limited partnership interests.

The Secondary Markets Group’s target customers are limited partners in private equity funds, including foundations, university endowments, public and private pension funds, family offices and other institutional investors. The group is based in ICAP’s Jersey City, New Jersey offices.

Mr. Critchell has over 12 years of relevant experience and comes to ICAP from Cogent Partners, a leading secondary private equity intermediary, where he advised sellers of limited partnership interests in some of the most important transactions in the secondary private equity market. Before Cogent, Bradley spent a decade in financial institutions investment banking, primarily with Credit Suisse and its predecessor firms, including Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette. Bradley has spoken on the secondary private equity market in a number of forums, and he holds a J.D. from Columbia Law School, where he was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar, and a B.A. (magna cum laude) from Brown University.
