Palamon Capital Partners, a pan-European mid-market private equity house, has appointed former Netscape chief financial officer Peter Currie to its board of advisers.
Currie began his career at Morgan Stanley, specialising in media and communications businesses, before becoming executive vice president and chief financial officer of McCaw Cellular Communications until it was sold to AT&T.
After that, Currie became CFO of internet browser business Netscape Communications, which was later taken public and sold to AOL. He currently serves as a director on the boards of Sun Microsystems and Clearwire Corporation.
