Danish buyout shop Danske Private Equity has raised 603 million euros for its sixth private equity fund. The target for Danske Private Equity Partners VI is 650 million euros. The fund’s limited partners are unnamed European institutions.
Danske Private Equity is very pleased to announce a closing in Danske Private Equity Partners VI on April 13 for an amount of EUR 603m of a target of 650m.
The amount was raised from institutions in Europe; approximately half is committed to investments in Western Europe and the other half to investments in North America. Final closing is expected at the EUR 650m target.
Managing partner, John Danielsen said, “We are very pleased that we have reached such an amount in this closing, including both strong support from long-term investors and many new names. We believe that Danske PEP VI has come off to a good start, as we start with two commitments and a full pipeline for 2015.”
Danske Private Equity pursues a strategy similar to that followed in Danske PEP I -V. Thus, Danske PEP VI will seek to invest in a select number of leading small and mid-market buyout funds in Europe and North America. In addition, Danske PEP VIwill pursue secondary opportunities and will seek to co-invest with Danske PEP I-VI portfolio funds.
