Deutsche Bank has appointed Gordon Paterson as managing director and head of M&A for Asia Pacific, excluding Japan.
Paterson will be based in Hong Kong, running the investment bank's Asia Pacific M&A franchise and acting as regional M&A co-ordinator across the region.
He will report to Lee Zhang, the investment bank's head of global banking for the region, as well as Tony Burgess and Jim Stynes, global co-heads of M&A.
Paterson joins Deutsche Bank from Citigroup, where he held the same role. He has previously held senior M&A and corporate roles with Credit Suisse in Asia; Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette in New York and Hong Kong; and Burns Fry in Canada.
