Menlo Park, Calif.-based venture firm Draper Fisher Jurvetson has promoted Josh Raffaelli to principal. Raffaelli joined the firm in 2004 and previously worked as an associate. He focuses on energy and services business investments, and has worked with portfolio companies SolarCity, SpaceX and Tesla, among others. Before joining DFJ, Rafffaelli worked for JP Morgan and Och-Ziff Capital Management.
Leading global venture capital firm Draper Fisher Jurvetson (DFJ) today announced the promotion of Josh Raffaelli to Principal from Associate.
Josh joined DFJ in 2004 and focuses on energy and services business investments. He has been closely involved with DFJ’s investments in SolarCity, SpaceX, Tesla, UBMatrix, ArrayConverter, and currently serves on the boards of PowerAssure, Renewable Funding, and Scientific Conservation.

Josh has worked in investment banking with JP Morgan, emerging market investing at Och-Ziff Capital Management, and venture capital investing with DFJ. His experience includes investing in and advising companies in the logistics, oil and gas, waste management, energy, telecom, software, and health services sectors. Josh is a Cum Laude graduate of Harvard University with a BA in Government, and has an MBA from Stanford Business School.
