Diane Woolf Joins Covington

Diane Woolf has joined Covington Associates as a principal. She previously ran the private placement group at Tucker Anthony Sutro and was a vice president in the private capital groups at Robertson Stephens and BancBoston Securities.


Covington Associates, a Boston-based specialty investment banking firm, announced today that Diane Woolf has joined as a Principal.  Diane has 15 years of experience in capital raising for middle market and emerging growth companies.  She has raised over $2 billion in debt and equity capital.  Diane will focus on the business services, consumer and industrial, healthcare and technology markets.

Prior to joining Covington Associates, Diane ran the private placement group at Tucker Anthony Sutro and was a Vice President in the Private Capital groups at Robertson Stephens and BancBoston Securities.  Diane has also served as CFO of two medical device start ups, giving her a unique perspective into the needs of capital users. Diane has worked with public and private growth companies, including Rock Bottom Restaurant Group, Bertucci's, Indian Motorcycle, Veryfine, Young & Rubicam, Jillian's Entertainment Holdings, BioEngineering Networks, Donahue Schriber Realty Group. She sits on the boards of The Friends of the Clarendon Street Playground and The Neighborhood Association of the Back Bay, and on fundraising committees of Elizabeth Seton Academy and The Advent School.  Diane has a B.S. summa cum laude in Business Administration from the Whittemore School at The University of New Hampshire and a MBA in Finance with honors from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley.  Diane started her career as a CPA with Coopers & Lybrand.
