Domino’s Names Insider as New CEO

NEW YORK (Reuters) – Domino’s Pizza Inc (DPZ.N) said on Tuesday it plans to elect the head of its U.S. division as the pizza delivery chain’s new CEO at a meeting next month, replacing current chief David Brandon who is stepping down on March 7.

Incoming CEO Patrick Doyle, 46, joined Domino’s in 1997 and became head of its Domino’s USA division in Sept. 2007. Domino’s board is scheduled to vote on Doyle’s appointment at a Feb. 24 meeting.

Domino’s said that the University of Michigan selected Brandon to become its next director of intercollegiate athletics.

Brandon, 57, will stay on as a special advisor to the company through the end of 2010. He joined Domino’s in March 1999 after the company was sold by its founder and owner Tom Monaghan to private equity firm Bain Capital.
