Kairos Capital Partners, LLC (Kairos) founded in 2007 by Andy Moser and Lynda Davey announced today that Don Jones has joined the firm as General Partner. Andy, Lynda and Don form a partnership that has over 75 years of collective industry experience which provides equity investments and funded debt solutions to retail and consumer products companies throughout North America. This is a team whose collaboration and expertise ranges from concept development, store operations and finance to logistics, sourcing, customer satisfaction and timely execution; all relevant and necessary tools critical to successfully investing in the newly defined economy going forward.
Don most recently founded and held the position of Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of POGAN Retail, LLC whose direct to consumer consulting arm focuses on perfecting the operational platform of companies like The Limited, Liz Claiborne Outlet, Buckler, Sunny’s Goodtime, and Tabitha Geary, LLC. Don remains the Founder and Chairman of POGAN Retail, LLC.
With over 30 years of executive experience in the retail industry, Don is an accomplished leader with a proven track record in building retail concepts, expanding existing formats, and creating cross-functional collaborations to attain company goals. Along with his vast retail expertise, he is also widely respected throughout the private investment sector with a network that spans the country. Don brings a broad base of varied retail experience to the elite and well-rounded group of professionals reinforcing the Kairos mission of helping good concepts and teams become great.
Don has served as Senior Vice President of Stores and Operations at Gap, Inc., and President and CEO of Rufus, Inc, where he developed an upscale pet retail concept. Don has also held senior leadership roles at Macy’s, Target Corp., IKEA, Marshall Field’s, Lechmere, Federated Department Stores, TJX Corporation, and May Company. Don serves on the public boards of Petals Decorative Accents as Vice Chairman and Total Luxury Group as Chairman. Don is also active in both professional and charitable organizations as Chairman of the Connecticut Retail Merchants Association Charitable and Educational Foundation (CRMAF) and on the Boards of the Ridgefield Library and the Trinity High School Foundation in Louisville, Kentucky.
