Donald Raymond, senior vice-president and chief investment strategist at Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB) has resigned his position effective March 31, 2014. CPPIB announced that he will thereafter assume a leadership role at Toronto-based alternative assets manager Alignvest Management Corp. Raymond joined CPPIB in 2001 and was appointed to his current role in Apr. 2010. CPPIB indicated that a process is currently underway to identify Raymond’s successor.
Senior Vice-President and Chief Investment Strategist Don Raymond Resigns From CPPIB at End of Fiscal Year 2014
Toronto, ON (January 8, 2014): Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB) announced today that Donald M. Raymond, Senior Vice-President & Chief Investment Strategist, has resigned from his position at CPPIB effective March 31, 2014 to assume a leadership role with Alignvest Management Corporation.
Mr. Raymond joined CPPIB in 2001 and was appointed to his current role in April 2010.

A process is well underway to identify Mr. Raymond’s successor, with a view to ensuring a seamless transition in advance of Mr. Raymond’s departure date. An announcement will be made in due course.
