Doughty Hanson Names Private Equity Co-Heads

Doughty Hanson & Co. has promoted Mark Corbidge and John Leahy to co-heads of private equity.

Doughty Hanson & Co, one of the largest independent private equity firms in Europe, today announced that it has promoted Mark Corbidge and John Leahy to be Co-Heads of Private Equity. In their new role, they will report to Richard Hanson.

John Leahy joined Doughty Hanson in 2002 and leads its Value Enhancement team, which focuses on optimising the operational aspects of portfolio companies. Mark Corbidge joined Doughty Hanson in 2004 and has led on a number of key investments.

Richard Hanson, executive Co-Chairman of Doughty Hanson, said: “Today’s announcement recognises the contribution made by John and Mark and the additional value they can add through greater involvement in the day to day direction of our private equity business. These appointments free up Nigel Doughty and me to focus on making investments and interacting with our investors, areas where we feel we can add the most value and which will drive returns.”
