Ernst & Young has named firm veteran Bill Schlich as head of its global banking and capital markets practice. He succeeds James Fanning, who is retiring.
Bill Schlich, an international banking veteran of 20 years with specific experience in credit and liquidity matters, has been appointed Ernst & Young Global Banking & Capital Markets Practice Leader.
In his new role, Mr. Schlich will oversee a network of 30,000 financial services professionals representing Ernst & Young's largest industry practice, which accounts for nearly 15 percent of Ernst & Young's total revenue and serves over a quarter of the organization's largest clients.
Mr. Schlich is one of Ernst & Young's leading advisors on the credit crisis and will continue to work with commercial and investment banks. He serves key global banking accounts and sits on both the
