Mountain View, Calif.-based Egnyte, a maker of hybrid cloud file server technology, has added Todd Rulon-Miller to its board. Previously, Rulon-Miller was a founding partner at Apogee Venture Group and senior vice president at Netscape.

Egnyte, the leading provider of hybrid cloud file server solutions, announced today that Todd Rulon-Miller has joined its board of directors as of February 2012. “It’s a thrilling time for businesses as the cloud, and more importantly hybrid cloud, grows exponentially and begins to deliver on the promise of a tangible ROI,” said Todd Rulon-Miller. “It’s critical to understand the pain points of an enterprise, as well as the use cases for both IT and end users. By joining the Egnyte team, I hope to leverage my enterprise experiences to help guide the company during this phase of rapid growth.”

Prior to his role at Netscape, Todd served in executive roles at First Data Resources, IBM, NeXT, Inc., Software Alliance and Tandem Computers. Additionally he has served on the Board of Directors of Active software; Epiphany; and Oblix Software (Purchased by Oracle Corporation).
