EIV Capital said Thursday its second fund closed at $267 million, surpassing the pool’s $200 million target.
Fund II will focus on growth investments mainly in midstream and related oil field service energy companies. The pool’s limited partners include public and private pensions, fund of funds, consultants and family offices. EIV said it launched Fund II in June 2014 and completed the fundraising in six months. Performance data was unavailable.
Champlain Advisors was the placement agent.
Houston-based EIV makes growth investments in U.S.-based energy companies. The firm typically invests between $10 million to $40 million equity per deal.
