Ella van Gool Joins DLA Piper

DLA Piper US LLP announced today that Ella van Gool has joined the firm's Palo Alto office as a Regional Manager of their Venture Pipeline Group. The Venture Pipeline Group is a business unit of DLA Piper specifically focused on assisting entrepreneurs establish and enhance the funding prospects of their early stage ventures and in providing quality deal flow to the venture capital community. Ella comes to DLA Piper from Netherlands Business Support Office.

Leveraging DLA Piper's worldwide experience in the emerging growth and venture capital sectors, Ms. van Gool will work directly with the firms Corporate and Securities practice, assisting entrepreneurs in preparing for and accessing the local, national and global investment communities by matching their business growth objectives and venture funding requirements with appropriately targeted funding sources.

Before joining DLA Piper, Ms. van Gool spent four and half years as the Chief Representative for the Netherlands Business Support Office where she focused on providing Dutch-based start-up and early-stage technology and life sciences companies' access to informal business advisory services to assist their financing and corporate development initiatives in Silicon Valley.

While at the Netherlands Business Support Office, Ms. van Gool consulted with over 400 early stage technology and life sciences companies on start-up issues, provided advice on raising venture capital and, for the most promising new ventures, identified appropriate investors and made investor introductions utilizing a broad network of venture capital and angel investor contacts.

Ms. van Gool is a founding member of the Northern California Chapter of Pepperdine's Graziadio School of Business & Management alumni and is a member of the North American Dutch business group NABE. She also has an MBA from the Graziadio School of Business at Pepperdine University and brings over 15 years of operational, general management and business development experience to DLA Piper.
