Enara Keeps Bolting On

Enara, a care homes portfolio business of UK lower mid-market private equity house August Equity, has continued its acquisitive streak in 2009 with the purchase County Care and five of six businesses from The Home Care Service group for an undisclosed sum.

Enara bought Beech Care and Nursing Agency in January and made the simultaneous acquisitions of Companions Care and Freshford Homecare in early February.

Founded in 1995, County Care is an elderly home care provider in Tunbridge Wells, Kent. Home Service, established in 1989, is a home care provider in Kent, with branches in Folkestone, Canterbuy, Ramsgate and Deal.

August Equity carried out a £20m buy-and-build of Enara in November 2008, simultaneously acquiring and merging Enara and First Call Care Services.
