EQT Executive Shot Dead, Suspects Arrested

MUNICH (Reuters) – Dirk Poschinger-von Camphausen, a 36-year-old EQT executive found dead at the weekend, was shot between 10 to 13 times, police said on Monday.

Preliminary findings suggested that the private equity executive was shot in the course of trying to sell his Audi A8.

Munich police have arrested a 40-year-old janitor suspected of murder and armed robbery, and a 54-year-old Bulgarian caterer held on suspicion of carrying a false passport.

Police said both have denied involvement in the killing.

EQT said it was “with great sadness and dismay we learned that our dear colleague was found dead by the Munich police this weekend”. Poschinger-von Camphausen joined EQT in 2009 from Morgan Stanley.
