Eseye Limited, a UK-based supplier of GPRS and 3G connectivity, secured a seed investment from an undisclosed syndicate of private investors.
This investment enables Eseye Limited to accelerate commercial deployment of its M2M+ platform into the rapidly growing cellular M2M markets both in the UK and internationally.
The company was started by the founders of CompXs, known for the world’s first ZigBee radio. Eseye has been working closely with its growing customer base including blue chip and multinational companies. This collaboration has delivered a range of low power connected products that use the Eseye M2M+ platform.
“M2M+ is an exciting development in the area of cellular M2M.” said Ian Marsden, CTO at Eseye. “It is gaining attention from some of the world’s largest product companies as they see the clear benefits of its cost effective yet reliable and secure features. By managing the communication, network use and application together Eseye reduce the risk of bringing a new product to market.”
Julian Hardy, Eseye Chairman, said the company would now embark on an expansion program, with further investments in platform development, sales and marketing. “Our existing customers have driven the development to date, this investment allows us to take the M2M+ platform to a much wider audience. Exhibiting at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, this year is just one of the activities we are undertaking. If you missed us there, we invite you to get in touch and understand how Eseye can help you develop and launch your connected products / services.”
