Ethos Capital taps Gold as exec partner

Ethos Capital has named Stephen Gold as an executive partner. His former leadership roles include serving as chief commercial officer at HZO and general manager of Honeywell’s connected enterprise division.

Boston – May 11, 2022 – Ethos Capital LP (“Ethos” or the “Firm”) announced today that Stephen Gold, who previously led Honeywell’s $2.5 billion IoT and software services business and was a founding member and principal business architect for one of the fastest growing businesses in IBM’s history, the Watson Group, has joined the Firm as its newest Executive Partner.

Mr. Gold is one of 16 Executive Partners, who work exclusively with Ethos to provide portfolio companies with sector-specific expertise to enhance operations and accelerate growth. Many of the Firm’s Executive Partners have worked successfully over numerous years with members of Ethos’ investment team. Ethos’ Executive Partners support the firm’s strategy of equal emphasis on both investment and operational expertise.

In his prior roles, Mr. Gold served as Chief Commercial Officer at HZO, General Manager of the Connected Enterprise Division (IoT) at Honeywell, and Group CMO and VP of Business Development for IBM’s Watson and SPSS businesses. He also served as President of Aberdeen Group, Chief Executive Officer of Azerity, and Chief Marketing Officer of Digital Market. Mr. Gold received a B.S. in mechanical engineering from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana and an M.B.A. with distinction from Carnegie Mellon University.
