Evercore Partners Adds Raymond Strong III as MD

Evercore Partners has named Raymond Strong III to the firm’s investment banking business as a senior managing director. In the role, he will advise companies in the energy industry, with a focus on midstream, downstream, upstream and integrated oil sectors. Strong was most recently a Managing Director in Goldman Sachs’ Global Natural Resources Group. Evercore Partners Inc. (NYSE: EVR) announced today that Raymond B. Strong III has agreed to join the firm’s Investment Banking business as a Senior Managing Director. Mr. Strong will focus on advising companies in the Energy industry with a focus on the midstream, downstream, upstream and integrated oil sectors.

Mr. Strong was most recently a Managing Director in Goldman Sachs’ Global Natural Resources Group, where he was responsible for leading the firm’s midstream and downstream effort. With approximately 20 years of experience working with companies across the Energy sector, Mr. Strong has advised on numerous advisory and financing assignments for companies, including Chevron, Hess, Kinder Morgan, Murphy Oil, Cabot, Nustar and Crosstex, among others. Most recently he advised Chevron on the acquisition of Atlas Energy.
