First Avenue hires new director for New York office

Placement agent and investment adviser First Avenue Partners has added Haroon Chishti as a director at its New York office. Previously, Chishti worked at Unigestion where he served as a vice president.


LONDON / NEW YORK. First Avenue Partners, a leading global private placement agent and investment advisory firm, is pleased to announce the addition of Haroon Chishti to the firm’s New York office. He joins the firm as a Director in its highly regarded private credit team.

Mr. Chishti has extensive knowledge of the private credit space and solid connectivity with credit managers. Prior to joining First Avenue, he was Vice President at Unigestion where he worked across all disciplines for a variety of credit strategies: origination, due diligence, and research. Before Unigestion, he spent the majority of his career as Vice President and Investment Analyst at Avenue Capital Group co-managing a multi-manager hedge funds portfolio. His previous roles also include Assistant Vice President at Tremont Capital Management and ABN AMRO.
