The publicly traded fund Firsthand Technology Value Fund has, for the second time this month, acquired shares of the common stock of Gilt Groupe Holdings, the flash-sales startup based in New York. According to a release, it just purchased 34,714 shares. Two weeks ago, Firsthand acquired roughly 54,000 shares of Gilt’s common stock.
Firsthand Technology Value Fund, Inc. SVVC -0.57% (the “Fund”) announced that it has completed the purchase of an additional 34,714 shares of Gilt Groupe Holdings, Inc. common stock. Gilt Groupe is a leader in online “flash sales” of designer merchandise at discount prices.
As of March 31, 2012, the Fund’s net assets were approximately $86 million, or $24.56 per share. Complete financial statements and a detailed schedule of investments will be made available with the Fund’s quarterly report filing on Form 10-Q in May 2012.
